Managing Broker Support Line

The Managing Broker Support Line is a pilot program offering tailored guidance and support to help brokers and member boards and associations tackle challenges they may encounter and identify opportunities to enhance professionalism.

Providing Expert Guidance

Our Professional Services Support Advisors are responsible for providing expert guidance and support to managing brokers and member boards and associations via a dedicated support line. The role involves helping to enable compliance with real estate and related regulations while maintaining the highest level of stakeholder satisfaction.

The dedicated support line serves as a valuable resource for managing brokers throughout British Columbia, enabling them to enhance their support for REALTORS® and better serve their clients. If you are a real estate professional seeking assistance, we kindly ask that you reach out to your brokerage for the guidance you require.

Before contacting our Professional Services Support Advisors, managing brokers are encouraged to take the following steps:

  • Review available resources, including the Knowledge Base, Real Estate Services Act, Real Estate Services Regulation, or Real Estate Services Rules.
  • If your question remains unanswered, do not hesitate to call or email a Professional Services Support Advisor.

Tips for Effective Communication

To expedite our response and assist us in addressing your inquiry promptly, please include the following information in your voicemail or email:

  • Your full name,
  • Your brokerage,
  • Your phone number,
  • A brief description of your question or the general topic you need assistance with, and
  • Any restrictions on your availability for a return call.

We endeavour to provide timely responses; however, this is dependent on call volumes. Please allow two business days for a response to your inquiry. In case you do not receive a response within this time frame, feel free to follow up by calling us back and indicating when you previously left a message. We appreciate your clear and slow articulation when leaving your contact information. Your satisfaction is our priority, and we are committed to supporting you effectively in your role as a managing broker in British Columbia.


Limitations to Our Service

There are limits to the assistance that the Professional Services Support Advisors can provide. They cannot:

  • Provide legal advice.
  • Review transaction documents.
  • Mediate disputes between professionals, managing brokers or brokerages.
  • Assist with complaints that have been filed with your real estate board or association, or the BC Financial Services Authority.
  • Offer opinions or assess the conduct of another professional.
  • Offer counselling or support for personal issues.

It’s important to be aware that information collected or received by our association is subject to the regulatory requirements of the British Columbia Personal Information Protection Act.
