The Board of Director’s role covers a wide range of responsibilities including setting BCREA’s strategic goals and objectives, financial oversight, ensuring qualified management, overseeing BCREA’s business activities, reviewing its materials risk and overseeing the succession planning process to ensure continued leadership.

BCREA’s Board of Directors is made up of REALTORS ® and members of the public – expanding the range of skills, talent, training and perspectives to help achieve balanced discussions.

The appointments to Board of Director Committees and Chairs of the Board of Directors are made by the Chair of the Board of Directors, in consultation with the BCREA Officers. These Board of Directors Committee appointments are generally filled by individuals who have applied or are on the BCREA Board of Directors and by regional board staff.

External Appointments

BCREA has two External Appointments whose purpose is to support the Board of Director’s work.
