BCREA is a non-partisan organization, focusing on the issues rather than the politics. We try to work collaboratively with whatever party is forming government, while also fostering relationships with the opposition.
BCREA and our member boards and associations participate in elections by promoting important issues, sponsoring housing debates, as well as providing resources to help engage with their local candidates.
We always encourage REALTORS® to get involved in the political process, focusing on issues that affect their communities and that can improve quality of life, such as housing affordability, consumer protection, or reducing homes’ environmental footprint.
While BCREA generally focuses on issues that are provincial in scope, we work with CREA and our member boards and associations on federal and local elections, since the outcomes of these can also significantly affect BC’s real estate sector.
